The Department of Transportation Services (DOTS), Parking Services unit, launched a new and improved parking permit system on July 30.

Managing your parking needs through this new portal will be easier, intuitive, and secure. Additional features such as a mobile friendly format, dynamic navigation to permitted locations, and an option to receive SMS notification will enhance the overall user experience.

Key Details:

  • The new Parking Portal is live and now available for use. Visit https://parkingbase.com/c/rutgers/login.
  • The previous parking system, NuPark, is officially offline. All purchased and active permits will be visible in the new portal including all permits that were auto-renewed for the new fiscal year in July. Please visit the new parking portal at your earliest convenience to confirm the status of your permit. The Rutgers Parking Portal Guide will show you how to manage your account: review permit details, add/edit/remove vehicles, terminate a permit, verify your permitted parking locations.

  • If you have the former parking permit website bookmarked in your browser, please replace it with the new URL, https://parkingbase.com/c/rutgers/login.
  • The method of access to the new portal will not change; all you need is your NetID and password to sign on.
  • Permit types and rates for Faculty and Staff will remain unchanged

How will this impact me?

  • Class type 1 employees who purchased the 2024-2025 fiscal year permit through payroll deduction were auto-renewed in the new system provided the employee’s type 1 status remains unchanged, and the account was free and clear of citations as of June 30.

  • Historical parking records from the old system will be transitioned to the new parking system including active permits, vehicle information, and other records.

  • All other employee classes--type 4, 6, 7, 8 or 9--who are hired and onboarded on July 30 or after, will use the new parking system to purchase a permit.
